Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its growing Columbus, GA practice. The attorney will handle a heavy and complex caseload of cases and hearings, with a rare opportunity to help build out a new statewide workers’ compensation practice on behalf of the Firm.

You will be privy to a robust influx of cases and resources that support case development and advocacy. This role offers potential to grow with the firm and earn more in workers’ comp in this

Qualifications

• Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in Georgia (or jurisdiction of practice).
• Minimum 3+ years of workers' compensation experience.
• Ability to manage high volume of cases and hearings.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of workers' compensation cases and hearings.
• Drafting and filing of litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and memoranda.
• Guide clients through the case process.
• Interaction with expert witnesses, including conferences and drafting reports.
• Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
