Job summary

Ryder is hiring Warehouse Associates in Columbus, Ohio. Earn $17.00 per hour with a $1.00 per hour premium on second shift (Sunday-Thursday 5:00 pm - 1:30 am). Roles involve packing, loading/unloading, and operating warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Powered industrial truck certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into the WMS system.
• Ability to read and perform basic math in English.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as forklifts; knowledge of safety rules.
• Ability to work overtime as assigned.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers and ensure scanning accuracy.
• Train dock employees on new procedures and maintain security at shift end.
• Perform picking and packing duties and check for damage.
• Move materials with required physical and transactional actions.
• Participate in team activities to improve warehouse operations.
