Job summary

Abbott’s Columbus Plant is seeking a production operator to safely run high-speed equipment and maintain quality on the nutrition line. You will join a team dedicated to delivering leading nutrition products while ensuring accurate records.

You will work a 12-hour day shift, rotating onsite days, with responsibilities spanning setup, troubleshooting, inventory, and strict adherence to FDA, GMP and Abbott/Ross regulations to keep products safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Manufacturing/production line experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate line information to production and support groups.
• A high level of attention to detail is required.
• Maintain accurate records and batch work orders as per procedures.
• Maintain adequate supply of materials and monitor releases.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the high-speed production equipment that makes our nutrition products.
• Start up and shutdown all equipment and clear jams or downtime issues on the line.
• Report abnormal equipment function or product problems to the Supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of packaging materials and complete work order documentation.
• Perform quality checks and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area using 5S procedures and tools.
