Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an experienced production operator for the Nutrition division. You will safely operate high-speed packaging equipment, perform quality checks, and manage materials to ensure continuous production.

Responsibilities include startup/shutdown, reporting issues to supervisors, and maintaining clean, compliant work areas. The role requires adherence to FDA/OSHA/GMP guidelines and a detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to communicate pertinent line information to production and support personnel.
• A high level of attention to detail is required.
• Must maintain accurate records such as Production Counts and Batch Work orders as per procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-speed production equipment safely according to procedures.
• Start up and shut down equipment; clear jams and downtime as needed.
• Report abnormal equipment function or product problems to Supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of packaging materials and complete work orders.
• Perform quality checks and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ensure safe operations and report incidents or hazards.
• Keep work area clean and organized following 5S guidelines.
• Adhere to product isolation procedures and proper identification of status.
