Job summary

Abbott is seeking a production operator at the Columbus Plant to safely run high-speed equipment, perform start-up/shutdown, and troubleshoot issues. You will maintain inventory, document work orders, and conduct quality checks while adhering to safety and GMP standards.

Strong attention to detail and clear communication with teams are essential. Ideal candidates have prior manufacturing experience, ability to maintain accurate records, and familiarity with RF scanners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior manufacturing, production line, and/or machine/equipment operator experience.
• Must be able to maintain accurate and legible records and document Batch Work orders.
• Ability to communicate line information to production and support groups.
• Experience with RF Scanners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate high-speed production equipment.
• Start up and shut down equipment according to procedures and clear jams.
• Report abnormal equipment function or product problems to the Supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of packaging materials and complete work order documentation.
• Perform quality checks and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ensure safe operations of all equipment and report incidents or safety hazards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area using 5S practices.
• Adhere to product isolation procedures and proper identification of product status.
• Ensure correct codes and expiration dates on products and materials.
