Job summary

CFS in Columbus is seeking a hands-on, commercially minded leader to build and lead a new Columbus operation in data center and industrial construction. You will recruit and develop the team, establish client relationships, and drive project execution to deliver strategic growth.

This role offers control of the operation's financial performance, from staffing to profitability, with support from an established division and a clear plan to scale to 120–140 craft employees and 25 office staff as

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressively responsible project management in industrial/mechanical construction.
• Experience leading teams of project managers, engineers, and field personnel.
• Strong understanding of P&L, forecasting, margins, and safety.
• Ability to develop client relationships and pursue new opportunities.
• Experience in union environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Columbus market by building relationships with data center contractors and clients.
• Help win work through pre-bid meetings, estimating support, and opportunity evaluation.
• Build the operation from the ground up by recruiting and developing PMs and engineers.
• Oversee project execution and financial performance across a portfolio of complex projects.
• Manage client and contract relationships, handling change orders and risk.
• Develop a capable leadership team to sustain growth.
• Partner with internal resources to ensure projects are supported.
