Job summary

AMT Engineering seeks an Entry Level Transportation Engineer in Columbus, OH, to join our Transportation team upon graduation in May 2027. The role offers growth, diverse project exposure, and a hybrid work schedule combining office and remote days.

The candidate should have a BS in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited) with a preference for EIT or the ability to obtain it within 6–12 months, plus internship or related experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D and MicroStation is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Engineering-in-Training Certification (or ability to obtain in 6–12 months) preferred.
• Prior internship or work experience preferred, experience with Municipal or State/US DOT projects a plus.
• Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD/Civil3D and/or Bentley Microstation/InRoads or Open Roads is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of projects including data collection and evaluation for engineering reports.
• Develop horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, super-elevation design and roadway modeling.
• Produce site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and related permitting drawings.
• Assist with stormwater management, right-of-way, and utility relocation plans.
