Job summary

Eightelevengroup is seeking a hands-on Developer in Columbus, Ohio to build scalable, cloud-native applications while driving projects from design through deployment. This on-site role collaborates with architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and product teams to deliver robust solutions using AWS, CI/CD, and modern frameworks.

The role covers the full software lifecycle in an Agile environment, with opportunities to shape technical direction and development best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript, Java, or Groovy development.
• Hands-on with React, Spring Boot, Node.js, and Grails.
• Expertise designing REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Proficient with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, EKS, DynamoDB, Step Functions, AppSync).
• CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment, preferably Jenkins.
• Relational and NoSQL data modeling and design.
• Nice to have: TypeScript experience; Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, AWS CDK.
• Familiarity with UI design systems (Figma) and frontend workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of new features and enhancements across existing applications.
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Develop and enhance REST and GraphQL APIs that support enterprise applications and integrations.
• Implement automated testing, code quality checks, and security scanning within development workflows.
• Design and develop cloud-native applications utilizing AWS services and container-based technologies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous delivery of high-value software solutions.
