Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to design and build secure, scalable cloud-native applications. This hands-on role spans backend, frontend, microservices, AWS, CI/CD, and AI-assisted practices, with leadership across teams.

Ideal candidates have strong Java/Spring Boot, microservices, frontend (React/Angular), and AWS skills, plus experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and NoSQL data stores. Targeted for the Columbus area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering/full-stack development experience.
• Strong Java & Spring Boot development experience.
• Hands-on Microservices & REST API development.
• Experience with React or Angular.
• AWS, Docker & Kubernetes experience.
• Kafka and Cassandra/NoSQL experience.
• CI/CD and automation experience.
• Testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, or Cucumber.
• Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, security, and application resiliency.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools.
• Financial services experience is highly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate services using Kafka.
• Develop frontend applications using React or Angular.
• Deploy and support cloud-native solutions on AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD, security, and application resiliency best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and automate recurring operational problems.
• Use enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and code quality.
• Provide technical guidance and promote reusable engineering patterns across teams.
