Abbott in Columbus, OH is seeking a Distribution Center Shipping Clerk to support receiving, packing and dispatching of goods using state-of-the-art automation. The role emphasizes accuracy in stock records and timely processing of shipments.

This 1st shift position runs 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. A High School diploma and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, along with ERP data entry and inventory responsibilities, are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Warehouse database knowledge.
• Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Responsabilités

• Receive incoming goods, check for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices.
• Pick order, pack, receive, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
• Ensure proper routing of materials is maintained while transporting the materials between departments.
• Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock and inventory records.
• Retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries on stock transfer, inventory levels or delivery schedules.
• Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization’s established procedures.
• Timely processing of receipts and shipments, including international and DG.
• Cross functional communication with Regulatory, Customer Service, Purchasing, Planning, and others as required.
• Follow provided control procedures to complete tasks.
• Complete Warehousing & Inventory execution tasks if applicable.
• Perform Material Movements both physically and systematically.
• Generate Work Orders from an ERP system.
• Perform Work Order Receipts in ERP system.
• Perform cycle counting.
• Process stock transfers and material requests.
• Operate material handling equipment, including potential use of forklifts or other equipment with appropriate training and/or certification.
• Load and/or unload trucks as required.
• Support all initiatives as identified by management and in support of QMS/EMS and other regulatory requirements.
