Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, OH is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to manage receiving, loading, case-picking, and shipping tasks in a 12-hour rotating day shift. You will handle BOLs, data entry, and maintain accurate databases while adhering to GMP and safety standards.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 2+ years in a warehouse, plus experience with forklifts and material handling equipment. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
2+ years of warehouse experience.
Experience with powered material handling tools and equipment (forklift, etc.).
Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to multitask.
Ability to make decisions based on awareness of area operations.
Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 50 lbs.
6+ months experience in Plant Material Control/Columbus DC is preferred.

Responsibilities

Loading, unloading, case picking, barcoding, and palletizer operations.
Receiving operations and accurate data entry; maintain databases and ASRS system.
Shipping/receiving office functions: release orders, ensure documentation accuracy, sign/date BOLs.
Communicate safety and GMP concerns to leadership and follow up.
Maintain safety and GMP compliance; work with diverse teams.
