Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Medical Assistant for Colorectal Surgery on a 24 Hour Day Shift to support providers and patients in ambulatory care. The role combines administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

A part-time, hourly position with weekly travel; main office is Rochester Hills with secondary sites in Southfield and Macomb. Requires MA program graduation or equivalent, with BLS-C, and EPIC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with 160-hour externship.
• 1 year of clinical MA experience in the past five years is acceptable.
• LPN or EMT with clinical experience in past five years is acceptable.
• Military trained medical personnel with 1-year clinical experience acceptable.

Responsabilités

• Greet and escort patients to the exam room.
• Obtain and record accurate medical histories.
• Measure and document vital signs for examinations.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Perform a variety of clinical tasks related to ambulatory patient care.
• Travel at least weekly to other office locations; main office in Rochester Hills; other sites in Southfield and Macomb.
