Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Moross Road campus on Detroit's east side and the Grosse Pointes. You will support providers with clinical tasks, collect histories, record vital signs, and prepare patients for exams in a supportive, team-based environment.

The role requires completion of an MA program (externship preferred) or equivalent clinical experience and BLS-C certification at hire or by orientation. EPIC EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Medical Assistant program with 160-hour externship (or equivalent) is required.
• Current BLS-C certification on hire or by end orientation is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Obtain and document accurate medical histories from patients.
• Measure and record vital signs, maintaining organized patient records.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed.
• Support providers during examinations and procedures to ensure efficient care delivery.
