Job summary

MEP Health is seeking a Colorectal Surgeon to provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care, including general and colorectal surgeries, in a community hospital setting. The position requires board eligibility or certification in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery, completion of an ACGME-accredited colorectal fellowship, and the ability to obtain NJ/PA licensure.

On-call duties start at 1:6 and progress to 1:3 for colorectal cases.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board eligible or certified in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited colorectal surgery fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Perform colon and rectal surgeries, participate in the Main OR, Surgery Center, Endoscopy Suite, and clinic hours.
• Manage a broad range of benign and malignant colorectal conditions.
• Share on-call duties, initially 1:6 for general surgery, progressing to 1:3 for colorectal surgery.
• Engage in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate on complex cases, including IBD patients.
• Provide both outpatient and inpatient services, with coverage supported by Surgical PAs.
