Job summary

Xcel Energy, a Fortune 500 energy provider, invites undergrad interns to join its Regulatory Administration team in Colorado. This fall internship focuses on policy work, cost recovery, and rulemaking to support PUC approvals and company objectives.

You'll project manage, write, and collaborate cross-functionally, with hybrid work on-site three days per week. The program may extend into a summer internship based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Current student, Junior or higher.
• Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Business, English, Economics, Public Policy, Environmental, etc.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week) or part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours/week) and commute in-person to the designated location under hybrid policy.
• Preferred: Research, Writing, Financial, Project Management experience/coursework.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), AI, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage or support an assigned case(s).
• Research issues if needed.
• Meet case milestones timely and accurately.
• Report to management on milestones.
• Provide recommendations for leadership if decisions needed.
• Work cross-functionally with business partners across the organization.
• Create high-level process maps of the case management process and look for improvements.
