Job summary

Bedford North Lawrence High School is seeking a Star System Assistant to support the Color Guard and Percussion programs. You will assist with dance instruction, choreography, and program design under the Band Director, helping to elevate performance and artistic growth.

You will participate in rehearsals and competitions, foster a positive learning environment, and help with logistical and administrative tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• Experience in dance, choreography, or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of Color Guard and/or Percussion performance techniques is an asset.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students and staff.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and creative environment for student performers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Band Director to plan and execute choreography and program design for performances.
• Provide instruction in dance, movement, and other performance techniques to enhance student skills.
• Assist in rehearsals, performances, and competitions to ensure the success of the Color Guard and Percussion programs.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters teamwork and artistic growth.
• Support logistical and administrative needs as directed by the Band Director.
