Qualifications

• Previous experience in color guard, dance, or a related performing arts discipline.
• Strong understanding of color guard techniques, choreography, and performance practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends for rehearsals and performances.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred or the ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
• A passion for teaching and mentoring young performers, fostering their artistic and personal growth.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in performing arts or education is a plus.

• Foster a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie among color guard members through team-building activities and mentorship.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administration regarding program updates, expectations, and student progress.
• Assist in the recruitment and retention of color guard members through outreach and promotional efforts.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the lead instructor or school administration.
