Job summary

Alvin ISD is seeking an instructional assistant to coach students in color guard and winter guard, helping them develop skills and excel in performances. The role supports the broader education program and the growth of participating students.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years in color guard teaching, familiarity with UIL rules, and be ready to work on-site in Alvin. A Texas Education Aide Certificate or eligibility is required or obtainable upon hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of college totaling 48 hours, or an Associate's degree.
• Passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment of Competencies. Transcript may be requested.
• Valid Texas Education Aide Certificate obtainable through Alvin ISD when hired.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

• Minimum Of a High School Diploma Or GED, Plus
• Two years of study at an institution of higher education totaling 48 hours, or
• Associates Degree, or
• Passing score on the "Paraprofessional Assessment of Competencies" exam, to be administered by Alvin ISD
• (Note: the above criteria must be met before your application can be considered for this position and if you are selected for an interview, transcripts showing your degree or college hours should be presented at that time)
• Valid Texas Education Aide Certificate (obtainable through Alvin ISD when hired)

Experience

• Texas Color Guard Circuit and Winter Guard International experience
