Job summary

Alvin ISD is seeking an instructional assistant to coach students in color guard and winter guard, helping them develop skills and excel in performances. The role supports the broader education program and the growth of participating students.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years in color guard teaching, familiarity with UIL rules, and be ready to work on-site in Alvin. A Texas Education Aide Certificate or eligibility is required or obtainable upon hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of college totaling 48 hours, or an Associate's degree.
• Passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment of Competencies. Transcript may be requested.
• Valid Texas Education Aide Certificate obtainable through Alvin ISD when hired.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and coach students to develop skills and ability to excel in color Guard and Winter Guard.
• Contribute to the education program as a whole and to growth of students involved in Color Guard and Winter Guard programs.
