Job summary

Sensient Technologies is seeking a Product Development Scientist to identify new product opportunities, improve profitability, and manage product lifecycles. You will drive revenue growth and support the Food Colors North America strategy through strategic thinking and technical leadership.

You will provide technical customer support, lead site trials, and collaborate with EHS, Quality, Engineering, and Operations to troubleshoot color and process challenges, delivering innovative color

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the food ingredients or packaged foods.
• Analytical, results-driven leader with a proactive mindset and ambition for career growth.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong manufacturing acumen.
• Ability to bridge commercial and manufacturing teams to drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical customer support to optimize color system performance in food and beverage applications.
• Partner with EHS, Quality, Engineering, and Operations to troubleshoot color and process challenges.
• Lead customer-site plant trials and production support to ensure successful implementation.
• Conduct laboratory and production trials to diagnose process issues and develop solutions.
• Support application projects through formulation development and optimization of customer products.
• Communicate and demonstrate new color technologies and solutions to improve product performance.
• Drive innovation by supporting new product concepts and evaluating raw materials to resolve complaints.
