Job summary

Sensient Technologies Corporation, a leading color and flavor innovator, is seeking a Product Development Scientist in St. Louis, MO. You will identify new product opportunities, improve profitability, and manage lifecycle strategies to drive revenue growth for North America’s food colors.

You’ll work across R&D, operations, and commercial teams to deliver robust scientific solutions. The role requires a Chemistry or Food Science degree and manufacturing experience, with hands-on lab and plant

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Food Science with relevant manufacturing experience.
• Analytical, results-driven with strong communication and cross-functional abilities.
• Ability to bridge commercial and production teams for growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to optimize color system performance in food and beverage applications.
• Collaborate with EHS, Quality, Engineering, and Operations to troubleshoot color issues.
• Lead customer-site trials and support production implementation of finished products.
• Conduct lab and production trials to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
• Support formulation development and optimization of customer products.
• Demonstrate new color technologies and applications to improve outcomes for customers.
• Drive innovation by supporting new products and resolving technical complaints across Sensient’s food ingredients portfolio.
