Job summary

The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) in Washington State is seeking two swing shift Printing Technicians to operate high-speed digital color and B/W printing equipment, handle pre/post processing, and ensure timely, confidential document production for state agencies.

You will maintain print production devices, perform routine maintenance, and participate in safety and cost-recovery activities, with on-site training for forklift and related certifications within six months.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience operating high-speed production equipment.
• 1 year experience operating continuous-feed digital printing equipment, unwinders, folders, slit/mergers and cutter/trimmer/stacker system.
• Must obtain and maintain certification for forklift, electric pallet jack, and clamp truck within the first six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Color Digital and B/W printing equipment and post-processing devices to print time-sensitive documents.
• Receive, modify, set up, configure print files and produce high quality output.
• Perform routine maintenance such as printer diagnostics and changing consumables.
• Maintain pre and post processing devices (unwinder, perforator, cutter, stacker) and extraction vacuum.
• Interpret job tickets and ensure specifications are met.
