Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Saint Joseph, MI is seeking a Color Development Engineer for an on-site role at the St. Joseph Tech Center.

The role focuses on coordinating and delivering new color projects across Make and OEM platforms, with accountability for PPAP and GPA processes and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, design and supplier teams. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Technology and 3+ months of engineering experience, with

Qualifications

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Technology.
Experience: 3+ months of Engineering experience (internships, co-ops, or lab work acceptable).
Preferred: advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or Material Science; Six Sigma/OPEx is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and implement new color projects for both Make and OEM products.
Lead development of new powder paint colors in collaboration with Manufacturing, Design and Suppliers.
Develop and execute color test plans with internal and external lab partners.
Deliver PPAP and GPA for new powder paints.
Identify and drive quality and cost improvement projects with Greenville Paint team.
Coordinate development of new powder paint and in-mold colors for OEM products.
Serve as technical lead for color approval processes (C0 to C2).
