Job summary

P & G CHEVROLET LLC in Charlotte, NC seeks a full-time collision repair technician. You will attend meetings, disassemble vehicles to assess damage, and ensure parts are stored properly during repairs.

You will weld, repair panels, perform adhesive work, align panels, apply corrosion protection, and reassemble to verify systems function correctly. A valid driver's license and 2–5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license.
• 2-5+ years of collision repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend team meetings to coordinate repairs.
• Disassemble vehicles to assist the Repair Planner in assessing damage.
• Store parts on carts to prevent damage.
• Perform welding, panel repair, adhesive repairs, alignment, and corrosion protection per OEM procedures.
• Repair damage following the approved repair plan.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently.
• Keep the work stall clean and organized.
• Ensure fit and finish quality before painting.
• Inventory parts before the refinish stage.
• Perform reassembly and verify vehicle systems function properly.
• Participate in I-CAR and company safety training.

Job Responsibilities

• Attend/collaborate with team during production meetings
• Complete dis-assembly of vehicle in order to assist Repair Planner with assessing all damage prior to repairs.
• Store parts on carts eliminate potential damage
• Perform welding, panel repair, adhesive repairs, panel alignment, and corrosion protection operations as outlined by OEM procedures
• Repair automotive damage as the repair plan dictates.
• Operate & maintain all equipment in a safe and productive manner.
• Maintain his/her stall in an orderly and clean manner.
• Assure quality of fit and finish prior to paint work.
• Inventory all parts prior to the refinish stage.
• Perform reassembly process and verify vehicle systems are functioning properly.
• Participate with I-CAR and Company Safety Training
