Job summary

Parks GMC Kernersville is seeking an experienced collision repair technician to join our service team in Kernersville, NC. You will collaborate with colleagues in production meetings, dismantle vehicles for damage assessment, and perform welding, panel work, and corrosion protection per OEM procedures.

You’ll also reassemble vehicles and verify systems function after repairs, ensuring top-quality finish before paint.

Qualifications

  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Responsibilities

  • Attend and collaborate with team during production meetings
  • Disassemble vehicles to assist Repair Planner with damage assessment
  • Store parts on carts and protect against damage
  • Perform welding, panel repair, adhesive repairs, panel alignment and corrosion protection as per OEM procedures
  • Repair automotive damage per the repair plan
  • Operate and maintain all equipment safely and productively
  • Maintain clean and organized stall
  • Ensure quality of fit and finish prior to painting
  • Inventory parts before refinish stage
  • Reassemble and verify vehicle systems function properly
  • Participate in I-CAR and Company Safety Training

Job Responsibilities:Attend/collaborate with team during production meetingsComplete dis-assembly of vehicle in order to assist Repair Planner with assessing all damage prior to repairs.Store parts on carts eliminate potential damagePerform welding, panel repair, adhesive repairs, panel alignment, and corrosion protection operations as outlined by OEM proceduresRepair automotive damage as the repair plan dictates.Operate & maintain all equipment in a safe and productive manner.Maintain his/her stall in an orderly and clean manner.Assure quality of fit and finish prior to paint work.Inventory all parts prior to the refinish stage.Perform reassembly process and verify vehicle systems are functioning properly.Participate with I-CAR and Company Safety TrainingJob Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentValid driver license2-5+ years of collision repair experience
