Job summary

Classic Collision in Georgia is seeking a skilled collision repair technician to join our growing team. You will perform disassembly, repair, and reassembly to restore vehicles to industry standards, using hand and power tools, and you will test drive repaired vehicles to ensure safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of collision repair experience, a valid driver's license, and I-CAR or ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Successful completion of background check required

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage to prepare a 100% Repair Plan
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time
• Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access damaged area and store parts to prevent damage
• Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling dents and welding parts; ensure gaps/fits meet industry standards; reassemble after painting
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, etc.)
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to Paint Dept.
• Repair or replace defective parts; inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety/quality compliance
• Comply with all SOPs, safety rules and guidelines
