Job summary

Classic Collision, founded in 1983, is seeking skilled collision repair technicians in Georgia. The role involves disassembly to assist estimators, planning repair procedures, and performing bodywork to restore vehicles to industry standards.

You will use a range of hand and power tools, inspect repaired vehicles, and ensure safety and quality. Classic Collision emphasizes weekly pay, training, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
• 2-3 years collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and prepare a 100% Repair Plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment to gain access to damaged area; store parts on carts or cover to prevent damage.
• Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling dents and welding parts; ensure gaps and fits meet standards; remove damaged panels and replace as needed.
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, soldering, cutting torch, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to Paint Dept.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
