Job summary

Classic Collision is seeking a skilled auto body technician to join our team in Cornelius, NC. Responsibilities include disassembling vehicles, planning repairs, and performing body work to restore vehicles to factory standards.

You will use a range of hand and power tools, and coordinate with the paint department to finish surfaces for painting. The role requires 2–3 years of collision repair experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read instructions.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years collision repair experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver's License Required
• Able to read and comprehend written instructions

Responsibilities

• Disassemble vehicle to assist collision estimators and plan repairs.
• Identify repairs to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Follow work orders and plan procedures for all operations.
• Remove upholstery and access panels to reach damaged areas and store parts correctly.
• Repair damaged panels with hammering, filling, and welding; ensure fit and finish to industry standards.
• Operate hand and power tools including welders and spray guns.
• Finish by sanding and prepping surfaces for painting in Paint Dept.
• Inspect and test drive vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned and follow SOPs and safety rules.
