Job summary

Classic Collision is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Monroe, NC to join a rapidly growing company focused on safety, quality, integrity and heart in every vehicle repaired.

The role involves disassembly, repairs, welding, painting prep, and inspection; requires 2-3 years collision repair experience, 18+, valid license, I-CAR/ASE preferred; competitive pay and benefits, paid weekly, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
• 2-3 years’ collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage to prepare a 100% Repair Plan
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time
• Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed
• Gain access to damaged areas by removing upholstery and components; store parts to prevent damage
• Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling in dents and welding replacement parts; ensure gaps meet industry standards
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, sander, spray guns, etc.)
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to Paint Dept.
• Repair or replace defective parts
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality
• Comply with Classic Collision procedures, safety rules, and guidelines
