Job summary

The Boyd Group is hiring a Porter at our Cypress, TX location. The role involves pre-washing customer vehicles, cleaning both interior and exterior areas, and maintaining shop and office cleanliness. You will transport vehicles to sublet locations for repairs and support the WOW plan to ensure quality service.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED, automotive detailing experience, and a strong attention to detail. A valid driver’s license and ability to multitask are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-wash of customer vehicles prior to repairs.
• Clean and maintain interior of office and production areas.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in orderly condition.
• Transport vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.
• Provide exterior and interior cleanup after repairs are complete.
• Support WOW plan execution.
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.

Gerber Collision & Glass - Highway 290, Cypress, TX 1 year prior experience in collision automotive detailing/porter duties preferred

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail
