Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Porter at our Austin, TX location to support WOW operations, keep the shop and offices clean, and assist with vehicle pre-washes and post-repair cleanup. The role also includes transporting customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs and maintaining parking lots.

Required is a High School diploma or GED (preferred), ability to multitask, and a valid driver’s license. Automotive experience is preferred. 18+ and attentive to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan is executed consistently.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of office interior and production areas.

• Clean interior and exterior of customer vehicles after repairs.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description

Gerber Collision & Glass - N FM 620, Austin, TX 1 year prior experience in collision automotive detailing/porter duties preferred

• The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery.
• Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Details
