Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Porter to support the repair shop by cleaning customer vehicles and maintaining both the office and production areas. You will be responsible for pre-washes, post-repair cleaning, and transporting vehicles to sublet locations as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to multitask, and an automotive background is preferred. A valid driver's license and attention to detail are essential to succeed in this position.

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of the office and production areas.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Pre-washes and cleans customer vehicles before and after repairs.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail
