Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Porter to keep customer vehicles clean before delivery and to maintain the appearance of the shop and office areas. Responsibilities include pre-wash, post-repair cleaning, and transportation of vehicles to sublet locations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to multitask, and a valid driver's license. Automotive experience is preferred, with attention to detail and reliability as key traits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan execution.
• Keep interior office clean: garbage, floors, countertops, work area.
• Maintain interior production area cleanliness and tool organization.
• Keep parking lots and grounds tidy; shovel sidewalks when needed.
• Pre-wash customer vehicles before repairs; clean after repairs.
• Transport vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred.
• Ability to multitask.
• Automotive experience preferred.
• Clear close vision required.
• 18 years or age or older.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Strong attention to detail.
