Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee multiple collision repair locations within the Akron, OH market. You will coordinate with General Managers, drive SOP compliance, and coach teams to optimize customer satisfaction and safety standards.

The role requires leadership across locations, strong experience in estimating, and the ability to read financial statements while mentoring staff and coordinating with insurance contacts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in the collision repair industry.
• Minimum of three years of management experience.
• I-CAR Platinum certification preferred.
• Estimating license if applicable in the state.
• Ability to read and understand financial statements.
• Extensive estimating experience.
• Ability to lead and mentor direct reports.
• Ability to manage multiple locations and coordinate with General Managers.
• Ability to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and safety policies.
• Ability to conduct in-person operations reviews and audits.
• Ability to build relationships with insurance contacts and referral sources.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan across all locations.
• Manage activities of all locations in the designated market through coordination with General Managers.
• Monitor capture rates and ensure stores maximize opportunities.
• Hold staff accountable for shop performance, SOP compliance, and customer-focused execution.
• Coordinate market load leveling through daily calls.
• Recruit, interview, and train new hires.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by coaching staff and resolving customer concerns.
• Identify continuous education and development opportunities for employees.
• Participate in external marketing and team-building activities.
• Promote safe, clean working conditions and review audits and safety records.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and document safety-policy violations.
• Work with corporate staff to support external growth of the assigned market.
• Complete internal reporting and communications aligned with the area business plan.
• Review location performance against goals and coach managers to improve results.
• Contact claims managers and dealer accounts monthly.
• Conduct monthly in-person operations reviews and audits with location managers.
• Develop relationships with area insurance contacts and other referral sources.
• Ensure stores respond to clients in a timely manner.
