Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a General Manager to lead the Collision Center, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and day-to-day operations in alignment with company policies. The role focuses on driving KPIs, insurance metrics, and staff performance through coaching and budget oversight.

The GM will oversee safety, facility maintenance, and training while delivering strong leadership to a diverse team in a high-volume shop environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.
• Strong ability to coach and empower team members.
• Experience preparing and managing operating budgets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan execution.
• Prepare and manage annual and monthly operating budget.
• Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expenses.
• Deliver annual and monthly performance reviews.
• Monitor AP/AR for the Collision Center.
• Maintain a clean, organized repair facility.
• Provide staff training and safety compliance.
• Open and close the facility daily per procedures.
• Lead production meetings and throughput reviews.
• Manage estimates, labor mix, and store capacity.
• Lead and manage repair facility personnel.
• Facilitate Health & Safety and staff meetings monthly.
• Attend management trainings and meetings.
• Oversee CSI performance and follow-up within 24 hours.

The General Manager plans and implements the daily operations of the Collision Center to ensure that overall KPI’s and insurance metrics are met. They are responsible to coach and empower each team member’s performance and success in their individual roles. The General Manager will promote and maintain the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving all customers, and the General Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer’s experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members. General Managers are committed to leading by example at all times.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives.Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews.Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint boothProvide training for all staff as necessaryEnsure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures.Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm through-put and delivery datesManage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards. Manage store capacity.Lead and manage all repair facility personnel.Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings .
