Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a General Manager in Michigan to lead the collision center’s day-to-day operations and drive exceptional customer experiences. You will coach teams, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality standards across all shop activities.

The role emphasizes leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to deliver strong financial results while maintaining the highest professionalism in serving customers.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to motivate others utilizing effective coaching tools and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Prepare and manage the annual & monthly operating budget.
• Forecast, target and track sales, profit & expenses.
• Deliver annual and monthly performance reviews.
• Monitor A/P and A/R for the Collision Center.
• Maintain a clean, organized repair facility at all times.
• Oversee shop equipment maintenance and safety gear/dress code.
• Open and close the facility daily per procedures.
• Lead production meetings to confirm throughput and delivery dates.
• Manage estimates to ensure labor mix and store capacity.
• Lead repair facility personnel and health & safety meetings.
• Attend monthly managers meetings and recommended trainings.
• Follow up on Store CSI within 24 hours.

The General Manager plans and implements the daily operations of the Collision Center to ensure that overall KPI’s and insurance metrics are met. They are responsible to coach and empower each team member’s performance and success in their individual roles. The General Manager will promote and maintain the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving all customers, and the General Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer’s experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members. General Managers are committed to leading by example at all times.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives.Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews.Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint boothProvide training for all staff as necessaryEnsure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures.Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm through-put and delivery datesManage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards. Manage store capacity.Lead and manage all repair facility personnel.Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings .
