Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Battle Creek, MI, is seeking a General Manager to lead daily operations of the collision center and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You’ll coach staff, manage budgets, monitor KPIs and insurance metrics, and ensure safety and quality standards across the shop.

As a senior leader, you’ll drive sales, guide performance reviews, coordinate production meetings, and maintain a clean, safe facility.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in collision repair or similar environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to motivate others using coaching tools and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan execution and KPI targets are met.
• Manage annual/monthly operating budgets for the collision center.
• Lead daily production meetings and coordinate workflow to meet delivery dates.
• Monitor A/P and A/R related to the Collision Center and maintain shop safety.

The General Manager plans and implements the daily operations of the Collision Center to ensure that overall KPI’s and insurance metrics are met. They are responsible to coach and empower each team member’s performance and success in their individual roles. The General Manager will promote and maintain the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving all customers, and the General Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer’s experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members. General Managers are committed to leading by example at all times.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives.Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews.Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint boothProvide training for all staff as necessaryEnsure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures.Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm through-put and delivery datesManage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards. Manage store capacity.Lead and manage all repair facility personnel.Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings .
