Voss Collision Centre in Dayton, OH is seeking a friendly Customer Service Representative to be the face of our auto body shop, assisting customers with inquiries, scheduling, and a smooth service experience from start to finish.

You will greet clients, manage calls, open repair orders, coordinate with insurers, and handle billing prep to ensure accurate and timely service throughout the repair process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a customer service role, ideally in automotive/body shop.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Answer incoming phone calls and route them appropriately.
• Screen calls and obtain necessary information for follow-up.
• Perform clerical duties including typing and filing repair orders.
• Open repair orders for vehicles and ensure RO forms are signed before repairs.
• Explain estimates and LKQ/aftermarket parts usage to customers and discuss timelines.
• Coordinate with insurance companies and prepare invoices for pickup and final billing.

Job Description

As a Customer Service Representative at Voss Collision Centre, you will be the face of our business, serving as the primary point of contact for customers in need of auto body repair services. You will assist customers with their inquiries, manage service appointments, and help ensure a smooth and positive experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they arrive in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Answer incoming phone calls.
• Screen calls, direct them to the proper party, and/or obtain enough information to allow for follow-up that is convenient for the customer.
• Perform clerical duties, such as typing and filing, including filing all repair orders.
• Open repair orders for all vehicles coming into the body shop for repairs, ensuring that all RO's and insurance forms are signed before commencing repairs.
• Explains the estimate to the customer, and aftermarket or Like Kind and Quality (LKQ) parts usage, along with the timelines of the repair. The CSR discusses and financial obligations to customers prior to drop off.
• Maintains a good relationship with all insurance companies.
• Prepares invoice prior to customer picking up vehicles.
• Prepares final billing for completed repair orders, ensuring all Insurance documents, Direct Repair Procedures (DRP's), and Power of Attorney forms are signed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a customer service role, ideally in the automotive or body shop industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of auto repair services or willingness to learn.
• Must have a valid DL
