Job summary

Vara Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Collision Center Manager to lead a busy collision repair operation. The role focuses on estimating, planning repairs, and ensuring top quality, timely restorations while supervising technicians and support staff.

You will coordinate with clients, communicate progress clearly, monitor productivity, and uphold safety and regulatory standards in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the collision repair process, including estimating, repair planning, and quality control to ensure timely and precise vehicle restoration
  • Supervise technicians and support staff and manage daily work schedules to maximize workflow
  • Oversee use of hand and power tools and equipment while enforcing safety and PPE protocols
  • Coordinate with clients to communicate repair progress and explain technical details clearly
  • Monitor shop productivity and ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations

Duties
  • Manage all aspects of the collision repair process, including estimating, repair planning, and quality control to ensure timely and precise vehicle restoration
  • Supervise technicians and support staff and have a daily work schedule for all personnel to maximize work flow
  • Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and technical equipment while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) protocols
  • Coordinate with clients to communicate repair progress, explain technical details clearly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Monitor shop productivity
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations within the collision repair shop environment
Skills
  • Proven collision center experience with a strong background in automotive body refinishing, auto painting, and auto restoration
  • Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, auto repair procedures, and defect resolution techniques
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software, and other technical equipment
  • Familiarity with automotive materials such as paints, aluminum panels, metals for fabrication, auto glass installation, and heavy lifting techniques
  • Ability to perform detailed damage assessments and root cause analysis to improve repair quality
  • Strong client communication skills with a focus on transparency and professionalism
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to collision shop operations and PPE use; ability to enforce safety protocols consistently
