Job summary

Scharmach Automotive Group in Washington state is seeking a Customer Service Representative / Estimator to be the first contact for customers, guiding them through the repair process from start to finish while learning to create repair estimates using CCC ONE software.

You will welcome customers, explain repairs, schedule estimates, coordinate with technicians, parts and insurance, and maintain accurate files in a fast-paced front office environment.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills; willingness to learn new software.
• Desire to learn collision repair estimating and build a long-term career.
• Experience in automotive, collision repair, dealership or insurance industry is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide a friendly, professional first impression.
• Guide customers through the repair process from start to finish and explain the repair steps.
• Maintain regular communication with customers regarding repair status and expected completion dates.
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism and provide outstanding customer service.
• Schedule appointments for vehicle estimates and repairs.
• Assist estimators by gathering vehicle information, photos, and documentation.
• Coordinate with technicians, parts personnel, and insurance companies to ensure a smooth repair process.
• Maintain accurate customer files and repair documentation.
• Assist with insurance claim information and customer paperwork.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures and company processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment.
• Participate in ongoing manufacturer and industry training.
