Job summary

AutoNation in Austin, TX is seeking a Collision Body Technician Trainee to learn body and fender repairs under the guidance of the Collision Body Team Lead. You will collaborate with Metal and Paint Technicians and follow AutoNation safety standards on the production floor.

Paid training, OEM/I-CAR certification support, and clear advancement paths across the AutoNation network are offered. A valid in-state driver’s license and a passion for cars and customer service are required.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing ICAR certification and OEM certification.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Ability to operate an automobile.
• Strong attention to safety and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Performing body and fender repairs as outlined on repair or work order, with direction from Collision Body Team Lead.
• Communicating effectively with Metal Technician, Paint Technician, and other Collision Center Associates.
• Operating all equipment in the Collision Center safely and productively per AutoNation safety standards.
• Participating in additional training classes (I-CAR, OEM and ASE).
• Mixing all chemicals according to manufacturer directions/specifications.
• Following federal, state, and local regulations affecting Collision Center operations.
• Gaining product knowledge to provide high quality repairs.
