Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Tampa Bay area is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repair. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and refinish vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition.

You will work with a team to meet KPI targets, use a range of tools, and uphold speed, quality and customer excellence in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers in an auto body shop.
• Understanding of vehicle body repair methods.
• Understanding of tools used in auto body work.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform repair work per WOW plan.
• Prepare cost estimates for customers and use necessary tools.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; repair interior parts.
• Weld, attach parts, and repaint vehicles as needed.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect results.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
