Job summary

The University of Utah Center for Campus Wellness is seeking a Collegiate Recovery Coordinator to lead the development and coordination of the Recovery at the U (RU) program at Salt Lake City campus. This role focuses on strategic planning, program development, and building a supportive recovery community within a harm-reduction framework.

Responsibilities include growing RU, delivering campus-wide programming, and coordinating services such as wellness coaching and peer-led groups, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalency; one year of related work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content.
• Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines.
• Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are required.
• Experience with collegiate wellness initiatives and working with a diverse campus community.

Responsibilities

• Develop RU initiatives, programs and services to support recovery.
• Recruit, welcome, and maintain a welcoming recovery community centered in harm reduction.
• Develop RU programs, events and experiences for students that support recovery and wellbeing.
• Support other efforts of the Prevention and Education team with wellness-related work.
• Assist with confidential HIV/STI testing clinics and sexual wellness counseling.
• Provide Wellness Coaching and Naloxone training to students; facilitate SMART Recovery meetings.
