Qualifications

• Current Certification as a Recovery Coach or Peer Specialist.
• Minimum of 3 years in sustained recovery.
• Reliable transportation and comprehensive insurance coverage.
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the recovery community and treatment systems.
• Engage with patients identified with SUD referred by UMMS.
• Meet with patients prior to discharge and facilitate next stage of treatment.
• Work with treatment team to implement evidence-based services.
• Provide transportation to clients for meetings and appointments.
• Educate patients about addiction and use motivational enhancement techniques.
• Provide peer counseling and support in establishing treatment goals.
• Maintain confidential records and coordinate with clinicians.
