Job summary

Lone Star College System is seeking an enthusiastic tutor to support students across disciplines at a Texas campus. You’ll deliver tutoring sessions, tailor study strategies, and help learners build confidence.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and strong communication. This is a part-time role with flexible hours; occasional admin tasks and collaboration with faculty are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Transcripts and/or a proficiency test may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tutoring sessions to students at scheduled times and maintain a weekly hours schedule.
• Assist students with the development of study skills for post-secondary education.
• Keep regular and accurate records of tutoring sessions.
• Modifies tutoring strategies to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
• Provide feedback to staff and faculty regarding student progress.
• Continue professional development through research and review of relevant material.
• May assist with additional duties as needed, such as covering the Courtesy Counter, answering phones, organizing materials, and performing other duties.
