Job summary

IDEA Public Schools Florida is hiring teachers to ensure students master academic and social skills necessary for college success. You will set ambitious goals, track data, and continually develop your practice while offering rigorous coursework and dual-enrollment options.

You will deliver state standards, write lesson plans, assess progress, and communicate with families weekly. A comprehensive benefits package, tuition reimbursement, and relocation support are among the incentives.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency as evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience (strongly preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred).
• Holding or willing to pursue a Florida educator certification required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade level curriculum, core content objectives, and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Implement formal and informal assessments to track each student’s progress and adjust plans weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Facilitate and utilize technology to improve student achievement and manage tasks.
• Establish a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Help shape a school-wide culture fostering a productive learning environment.
• Establish and maintain trust-based relationships with students and families.
• Host tutoring sessions and participate in weekly meetings and duties.
