Job summary

Overtown Youth Center in Miami is seeking a dedicated Post-Secondary Success Coach to support young adults 18–25 through college, vocational training, and career pathways. You will provide individualized coaching, case management, and resource navigation to participants enrolled in post-secondary success initiatives.

Responsibilities include needs assessments, one-on-one coaching, and coordinating exposure and workforce development opportunities aligned with participant goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, social work, human services, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in college access, student success coaching, workforce development, case management, youth/young adult development, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized coaching, advising, and case management support to young adults ages 18–25 enrolled in post-secondary success initiatives.
• Conduct participant assessments and develop individualized education, career, and life success plans.
• Facilitate one-on-one and small-group coaching sessions focused on college persistence, career advancement, and workforce readiness.
• Support participants with college persistence, financial aid renewal, scholarship applications, and career pathway planning.
• Assist participants in navigating barriers impacting persistence and success (housing, transportation, childcare, mental health, etc.).
• Coordinate and facilitate workshops on career readiness, resume development, interviewing, and leadership development.
• Develop partnerships with colleges, employers, and community organizations to support participant success.
