Job summary

Lehman College in the City University of New York is seeking a full-time College Laboratory Technician for the Human Performance and Fitness Laboratory in Exercise Sciences. The role involves hands-on lab work, equipment safety, and supporting classroom instruction.

You will manage supplies, assist with biomechanics and physiology courses, and ensure OSHA and university policies are followed. The position is on-site with some evening/weekend coverage at Lehman College.

The Department of Exercise Sciences and Recreation is currently housed in the School of Health Sciences, Human Services and Nursing (HS2N). The School of Health Sciences, Human Services and Nursing currently includes six departments: Exercise Sciences and Recreation, Health Administration Research Technology, Health Promotion and Nutrition Sciences, Social Work; Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, and Nursing. The Lehman College campus is located in the Bronx, New York and is a Senior College within the City University of New York (CUNY) system. The college serves mainly undergraduate students preparing them for employment, the professions and further study. This position is full-time, 35 hours per week with an on-campus presence. This may at times require a presence in the evenings and weekends

• Familiarity with data analysis and management tools (e.g., Qualtrics, SPSS, motion analysis software)
• Strong interpersonal skills to support diverse student learning

Compensation

$74,165-76,761

Salaries are commensurate with education and relevant experience and are subject to the Professional Staff Congress-CUNY salary schedule (http://www.psc-cuny.org/contract/psccuny-contract-salary-schedule)
