McAninch Corporation in Des Moines, IA is offering the 2027 College Internship in GPS/Project Management for May–Aug 2027. Interns will learn surveying basics, operate GPS gear to collect topography data in the field, and work with estimators on take-offs.

Qualifications

Position Description:

Looking for an exciting opportunity in the construction industry? McAninch Corporation is looking for interns for next summer (May-Aug 2027)! Our interns will work with our GPS division, learning the basics of surveying and using GPS equipment to collect topography data in the field. Interns will also spend time with our Estimators to learn take offs. They will utilize BlueBeam for underground utility take offs and AgTek for grading take offs.

Qualifications:

• Current college student pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction/Civil Engineering, Construction/Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.

Physical Requirements:

• Primarily sedentary work, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and operating office equipment.
• Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within an office environment.
• Ability to occasionally work outdoors and stand/walk on uneven terrain.
• Ability to lift and carry light objects, typically up to 10 lbs.

Compensation:

Interns are paid an hourly wage of $22.00 per hour. This temporary position is not eligible for benefits.
