The City of Santa Clarita offers a hands-on internship designed for current undergraduates or graduates in Computer Science, Business, or related fields. You will convert marketing concepts into digital email campaigns, build and update pages using HTML/CSS, and craft graphics with Photoshop for emails and social channels.
You will also create surveys, manage event calendars, analyze Google Analytics data, and assist with administrative tasks.

$20.86 - $26.43/hour (Undergraduate Level)
$27.84 - 33.42/hour (Graduate Level)
This position is fully onsite and is expected to work an average of 20-30 hours per week. The anticipated duration of this internship is approximately 6 to 12 months but may end earlier or be extended depending on department needs.
Education and Experience
If you are a current or recent undergraduate or graduate student studying Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field and are interested in gaining meaningful, hands‑on work experience at the local government level, this may be the program for you.

As a City of Santa Clarita public employee, you may be called upon to work as a Disaster Service Worker (DSW) in the event of an emergency (in accordance with Government Code 3100-3109). Before entering upon the duties of employment, all public employees, except those excluded by law, take and subscribe to an oath or affirmation set forth in the California Constitution, declaring them to be Disaster Service Workers in time of need.
In addition, part‑time, temporary, and seasonal (PTS) employees may be required to participate in the DMV Employer Pull‑Notice Program. This program authorizes the City to receive a driver record report upon enrollment and during employment.
This is not a designated Retired Annuitant position. If you are a California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) retiree, you may be required to reinstate into CalPERS.
PTS workers are at‑will.
